International engineering business, Laing O’Rourke is benefiting from using Hazibags on the C502 construction package on Liverpool Street Station main works for Crossrail.

The company is experiencing the benefits of our lightweight and flexible 200 litre Hazibags whilst working in the 37 metre deep tunnels.  The Hazibags are craned down to the point of waste generation at seven different levels.  Once full they are craned back up to ground level, ensuring that hazardous (COSHH) waste is disposed of correctly as it is made easy for the site workers.

Hazibag used on Laing O'Rourke Crossrail ProjectThe flat packed nature of Hazibag is also helping Laing O’Rourke keep the Crossrail site tidy and improve health and safety as the containers are stored away on a shelf until needed.

David Burton, Site Engineer, Laing O’Rourke Infrastructure says: “The mobility of the Hazibag is helping us to manage our hazardous waste as it can be opened and placed at various levels around the site where the waste is generated and then craned up to ground level when full.”
