Windsor Integrated Services Group (WISG) which incorporates Hazibag UK, is pleased to announce its successful transition to the new and improved standards of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
WISG was one of the first recycling and waste management companies to be awarded the international ISO standards back in 2005 and our transition to the improved standards demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement.
This successful certification to these latest standards was confirmed following four days of extensive audits and interviews aimed at determining WISG’s conformity to the new standards, which now include more emphasis on interested parties, risks and opportunities, strategic development, leadership and communication.
Tony Windsor, Group CEO, commented: ‘This latest certification demonstrates to our customers, suppliers and staff that our company has effective and robust business and environmental management systems in place, helping to improve our operational efficiency and ultimately deliver a first class service to our customers.’
Our approach to this new standard was appreciated by auditor Graham Wood who commented:
“What was very clear to me was the positive attitude to these changes, all those that I interviewed were extremely positive. It is clear that the communication process has resulted in everyone coming together and working to a common set of goals, which supports the definition of a management system”.
During the auditing process the company was also successfully recertified to OHSAS 18001.
Since setting about the process to recertify our OHSAS standards, the world’s first Occupation Health and Safety International Standard, ISO 45001 was published and we will soon begin the process of migrating over to this new standard.
